Postdoctoral researcher
Zhichao Yu
Zhichao joined the Krattinger Lab as a postdoctoral researcher in 2025, where he studies the genomic evolution of wheat, with a particular focus on einkorn wheat. He received his Ph.D. in genomics from Huazhong Agricultural University, China, where his research focused on rice pan-genomics. Currently, he is interested in how introgressed genomic segments shape the diversification of wheat subspecies and influence wheat dispersal and adaptation.
